Creativity Drought

12. Babbette Blanket 13. Dragon

I have been in a creative slump lately. I have tried and tried to get out of the same old same old. So in an effort to get out of that slump I started going through some of my favorites on Flickr and thought I would share a few of the things that are starting to spark my creative fire. We will just have to see what will blossom.
What do you do when you are in a creative slump?

Sorry to hear about your slump. I always find it so frustrating when I want to make, and just don't have it in me to do so.

I like to try new things when my mojo has flown out the window. This last time I learned chicken scratch. I put a little tutorial and bookmark pattern on my blog. Maybe something quick and satisfying will do the trick for you as well!

I sort of just give in for awhile when I'm in a slump & let myself be lazy. In the meantime I gather inspiration for when the mood strikes. I'm in between projects right now & not feeling very motivated myself. I told myself I could have the week to just chill but that come Saturday butts will be put into gear!

Good luck with your slump & thanks for including my lucy pillow in your inspiration - I'm very flattered!

I think that a slump usually means that I need a break, so I get out a novel or some home improvement project instead and work on that. I also get more creative with my cooking. Eventually the creative spark comes back and I go back to my stitching.
